Biography – Beka Tsirekidze
Beka Tsirekidze was born on July 9, 1992, in Kutaisi, Georgia. From early childhood, he showed a natural affinity for the arts. His first connection to creativity came through music: at the age of three, he instinctively reproduced a simple melody played by a family friend. Although he never pursued formal musical education, improvising his own melodies on the piano has remained one of his enduring personal passions.
Theater has been a major influence throughout his life. At just 15, Beka began photographing stage performances and cultural events — a turning point that solidified his dedication to visual storytelling. In 2010, he enrolled at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film State University, majoring in Film and Television – Cinematography. The program provided a strong foundation in both artistic photography and camera operation.
During his second year of studies, Beka joined Rustavi 2, a leading Georgian television channel, working as a camera operator and gaining valuable professional experience within broadcast media.
Today, supported by academic knowledge and years of practice, Beka works actively in both photography and videography. His photographic work is especially prominent in theater and concert documentation, capturing live performance, emotion, and stage atmosphere. However, his portfolio spans a wide range of genres including portrait, landscape, still life, street photography, food photography, interior and exterior architecture, weddings, and various cultural events.
In videography, he produces documentary pieces, short visual stories, TV segments, wedding and birthday films, and dynamic video reels tailored for modern platforms.
Beka is a creative collaborator with “1984” Jazz Cafe Tbilisi and works closely with several Georgian theaters, continuing his journey of transforming artistic moments into timeless visual narratives.
One of Beka Tsirekidze’s greatest passions is culinary arts, which is why he is also a culinary vlogger.
